A Taste of Cavite at Cavite Republic

Have you ever been in a restaurant where you enjoyed every thing that it's whole place has to offer? I mean its whole place, whole city, whole province?

If not, here is the moment where I can share to you how grateful I was I attending the the Enriching Cavite's Tourism at Republic of Cavite, Trece Martirez, Cavite last March 20.

With nothing but the best of the Province of Cavite, if it was my first to be in Cavite that day, I would believed that Republic of Cavite is Cavite's capital... Thank God I've been in Cavite a lot of times and I'm quite familiar with the province! ^_^

But with this Enriching Cavite's Tourism seminar, I was surprised to know that Cavite holds a lot more! Waterfalls, churches, markets... They have a great variety of tourist spots that local and international tourists would love to see, really!

But of course, there's an easier way to experience Cavite... And that is through our stomach! And Cavite Republic offers nothing but Cavite's best delectable dishes!

On the said seminar, we were treated to a sumptuous Caviteño treat that we all enjoyed. Here are the dishes that I got to try and really filled my tummy that day:

Grilled Eggplant Salad
with Salted Egg and Pickled Mango

Sinanglay na Pla Pla

Cavite Express

Kilawing Caviteño

Of all the vegetable-base dishes that I've tried that day, I'd say that my most favourite was their Sinanglay na Pla Pla. The Kilawing Caviteño and Cavite Express were really spicy, and since I'm low on spicy food, after my two spoons of it, I'm done eating them. Hahaha! As for the salad, well, it's okay, but not that overpowering like the Sinanglay na Pla Pla.

Grilled Chicken Sinampalukan

Republic Chicken Barbecue with Peanut Sauce

Adobong Caviteño

When it comes to their poultry dishes, I'd say that all of the above were good. I think the Peanut Sauce made these ordinary dishes delicious! Well, except, of course, for the Adobong Caviteño. It was okay for me, I like how the oiliness of this dish didn't bother me at all.

Pork Barbecue with Peanut Sauce

Crispy Binagoongang Baboy

Sizzling Crispy Dinuguan

Crispy Pata Kare-Kare

And as for the pork dishes, well, in these where my fangs really sunk! The Pork Barbecue was okay, again, because of the peanut sauce that was really tasteful.  The Sizzling Crispy Dinuguan was good too, because of the texture and crunch that the crispy pork bits added, this dish was more fun and interesting to eat, specially with rice! As for the Crispy Pata Kare-Kare, well, I guess a lot of you would ask, why did they do that? Having two great Filipino dishes in one, but to be honest, it didn't taste that bad, it was okay. And lastly, my most favourite dish the whole day, the Crispy Binagoongang Baboy, which I think you have to try on your own to know what I liked about this dish. :-)

Lihim ni Lola

Onde Onde

Pritong Halo Halo with Ube

When it comes to desserts, Republic of Cavite offered something we can't resists, and I just love how they came up with something festive!

And believe it or not, Republic of Cavite offers dishes that will definitely not hurt your budget! Nice, right? Affordable good food, really, you should visit this place when you go to this part of Cavite.

Here are some of my photos during our tour  in republic of Cavite:

No wonder the province keeps on growing, Cavite, more than its colorful history and tradition, it  also holds a very dear place that our stomach can enjoy! And this is something that even the world will have a hard time to resist!

To Cavite and to Republic of Cavite, Godspeed and may you prosper more!
Thank you!
