Bubble Tea: Coffee out, BBT In!

Whenever I hear the word Tokyo, Osaka or any place in Japan, there's this butterfly thingy happening inside me that makes me so giddy and happy at the same time. I don't know what's that, but it always brings smile to my face.

When I was a kid, my father left for Japan to work. And until now, I feel really happy looking at his pictures during his stay there - the cool climate, the rich tradition, the fusion of minimalism and intricate designs and the wonderful Japanese dishes that I'm so in love with. I wanna go to Japan really soon!

But before I pursue this dream of mine, I wanna share to you all this new foodie haven that I visited at Tomas Morato - the Bubble Tea.

I remember, not so long ago, I got so addicted to this brand of pearl shake, that I even got to the point where I lose my voice because of drinking too much of it. Hahaha!

And now, I think, I'll be addicted again, but this time to a healthier and yummier drink - milk tea!

Marriott Hotel Manila's Worldwide Thai Dinner

If there's one reason why one should keep coming back to M Cafe of Marriott Hotel Manila, that will be the really great variety of Thais dishes in their buffet station. I mean, if you are really up for some spicy and flavorful Thai food, this is one of the best places in the metro that you can indulge into.

And last night, I got a chance to challenge again my appetite and my palette as Marriott Hotel Manila joined to this one-night celebration of Thai cuisine as they participate to the Worldwide Thai Dinner Party.

The Bloggers' Bibingcrepe Challenge

I believe, one of the happiest moments that we had on our field trip recently was the Bibingcrepe challenge that we had. Yes, Bibingcrepe - bibingka na crepe! Sounds interesting, right?

Well, we met at the Half Moon Asian Cafe at Tomas Morato where they served this tummy-filling, super yummy dish, BUT the challenge that we, bloggers, had didn't happen here! It happened up, up and away there in Baguio City! Wee!

Yes, we had our field trip there in Baguio, the Summer Capital of the Philippines, where we stayed at the very comfy Mines View Park Hotel! Wee again!

And since Half Moon Asian Cafe and Mines View Park Hotel is under one management, we bravely took the challenge of making our very own Bibingcrepe with the help of Mines View Park Hotel and Half Moon Asian Cafe Baguio gents! Yes, there's a Half Moon branch in Baguio! :-P

One of the fun indoor activities that you can request to the hotel management if you stay with them is to learn something like cooking the Half Moon Asian Cafe's pride, Bibingcrepe! Isn't that great and exciting.

Garliciously Krazy Garlik

If you love garlic – fresh, whole, crushed, sautéed, fried or even sweetened, this is the best place for you. I am honestly not a big fan of garlic, one reason why sometimes I don’t like Marinara Pasta, but with Krazy Garlik, I think something is about to change.

With Krazy Garlik, I’d be lying if I say I didn’t fell in love all over again. It was a rekindled love for garlic when I got to experience this new foodie joint at the second level of Greenbelt 5 in Ayala Center, Makati City.

With its outstanding theme just like its sister foodie joints, T.G.I.Friday’s, Italiannis, Fish & Co., Flapjacks, Billy Rock and Pig Out, Krazy Garlik has this Alice in Garlicland that will surely be a hit to all foodies.

As for their menu, it was like being one of the judges of Iron Chef where the main ingredient of the day is “garlic.” Their dishes come from the different parts of the world, but with a garlic twist on it and I’m sure that will surely challenge our palettes by this simple ingredient.

Ginzadon: A Fusion of Japanese-Korean Cuisine

Looking for nice place to hangout after some casino game or just to relax after a hard day at work? Maxims Hotel, the first and only six-star hotel in the country which will be fully functional by November, just opens a new door of gastronomic escapade that caters to the harmonious Japanese cuisine and to the flaring spicy Korean cuisine - Ginzadon.

I got a wonderful invitation to dine at this newly opened resto/bistro, and I’m so delighted to hear that they are indeed serving great Japanese and Korean dishes. Ginzadon's name is taken from "Ginza", an upscale district in Tokyo, Japan, while "don" is a Korean term for money.

I love Japanese food. I’m a big fan of this cuisine, so I’m really looking forward to this dinner. And because of the K-Pop invasion in the music scene and in our country, I’m starting to kinda love Korean cuisine – even their spicy Kim Chi!

733-1111: Dial Mang Inasal Now!

For me, nothing beats a wonderful lunch with your family while having a freshly-cooked meal, even if it’s Monday. Thanks to Mang Inasal, I had a simple yet tummy-filling lunch at home with my beloved parents through the help of 733-1111, Mang Inasal Delivery.

With my unpredictable schedule at work, I barely have time dining at home with my parents. We barely have time discussing stuff, talking about something or just talking about nothing. And I know we all miss that, doing those stuff with our families, I miss that.

That’s why I’m somehow thankful that nowadays there are a lot of food establishments, I mean, good food establishments that offer express delivery for us to enjoy a sumptuous meal with our love ones, just like Mang Inasal.
