What a food festival it is! With decadents representing different regions of our country, from native to neo-Filipino delicacies, Electrolux Philippines' Discover-E proved that it is indeed more fun in the Philippines!
Last Saturday and Sunday, as the Discover-E Campaign of Electrolux Philippines culminates for its final showcase of amazing and filling Filipino delicacies, the NBC Tent in Bonifacio Global City was filled with hundred of foodies from the different parts of the country to gather and enjoy this 2-day of food festivity through the Discover-E Food Festival.
Of course, your dear Lafanggero didn't miss the chance to discover more delicious Filipino food that truly speak of our being and worth to make our discriminating palette happier and fulfilled.
Upon entering the tent, guests were welcomed by the wonderful line of home appliances by Electrolux. From their refrigerators, stoves, air conditioning systems, toaster, microwave oven and many more.
All of these items are for sale, and I believe comes with discounts and freebies, so for those who came by and made a purchase, it was a real treat for them right from the very beginning of this festivity.
Guests to this Food Festival must have the Discover-E Food Passport to get in. It costs Php50.00 and the proceeds from ticket sales will be used for the benefit of ABS-CBN Sagip Kapamilya.
If you are game for some signing up and listening to other sponsors, well, all you need to do is to fall in line to their kiosk, sign-up, give your passport for them to place a sticker on it. Once you finished doing that six times, all you gotta do is head to your next agenda inside the NBC Tent - eat!
It was indeed a festival meant for food! The whole tent was divided into three parts, the appetizer section, main course section and the dessert section. I'm sorry if most of my food photos here are desserts, I just can't help it! Hahaha!
But since I wanna be fair to all, I still went around and tried some of the most appealing ones to me. And here are the filling discoveries I tried that day. I received one sticker on each of them, plus one for the Buko Juice drink that I had so, I had four.
Crunchy Belly
Wrap Battle's Bacon and Egg
Pink Wasabi
According to the Food Passport, once a passport holder received or attained 6 stickers, he/she will have a chance to win in the raffle draw. And since I just got only 4 of them, I was only entitled to one raffle draw, two if I got all of the 6. I won a discount coupon for Solane Gas and some measuring cups, which I think I can use in the very near future - that is if I start learning how to bake. Hehe.
This Food Festival also had some important guests that made our day more pleasurable. Sagip Kapamilya Program Director Tina Monzon Palma graced the event to personally thank Electrolux Philippines for their generous help to the foundation, while celebrity chefs Rosebud Benitez and Bruce Lim put up a cooking demo for all of us, as well as they served as the judges for the Media Cook-Off where two of my favorite travel bloggers, Byahilo.com and PinoyAdventurista.com took home the 1st place. Congrats, guys!
I wasn't able to witness the second day of this festival because I was with my family celebrating my birthday last Sunday. But I had a wonderful and filling day on this first day of The Electrolux Discover-E Food Festival, that I'm wishing that they will have again - for all the Lafanggeros in the metro to enjoy!
Thank you and congratulations, Electrolux Philippines, for this another wonderful campaign!
Thank you for proving that our very own Filipino food are truly world-class!
Happy eating, everyone!
