Finding the "Perfect Match"

While some restaurants are busy preparing for their wine pairing sessions, a gastro pub in Bonifacio Global City is making a trend that will make beer drinkers happy. The Perfect Pint, located at the Crossroads, BGC, launches a unique dining experience that shares wonderful dishes that go well with crafted beers - "The Perfect Match."

Forget about sisig, forget about pizza, forget about barbecue. Because here at The Perfect Pint, those are not the dishes that go well with their crafted beer. Actually, none of those traditional Filipino favorites could be encountered in this amazing and filling adventure made possible by the metro's budding chefs, brewmasters and food editors.

Band of Brewmasters

Four dishes and four different crafted beers prepared by the talented chefs, brewmasters and food editors, all worth of an hour or two of dining experience and some Php599.00, The Perfect Pint's The Perfect Match started last October 20 and will last until November 13, with different battle themes every week.

My Unbelievable Project Pie Experience

"If I were you, I'll have half of Number 1 and half of Number 2."

Number 1 and Number 2 Pizza

When I asked him what a first-timer like me should have from Project Pie, these are the words that came from the man who is behind all of these pizza building experiences that we are having now right here in Manila, Mr. James Markham.

We may always get the food that we want, we may always have that perfect seat where we can enjoy these food, but it is not everyday that you'll run into the restaurant's owner, chat with him and give you great advises on how to enjoy the meals that he created for everyone.

This is my unbelievable Project Pie experience!

A Night with Murray and D'Vine

I seldom have a night-out with my friends lately but when I do I make sure that it is memorable - like this one. And when I and my friends meet, we make sure that aside from juicy stories, our night is also filled with delicious food and soothing cocktails - like these from Murray and D'Vine of Serendra.

Imported Baby Back Ribs - Php465.00 (half)

Located at the very heart of Serendra in Bonifacio Global City, which is basically known for its classy residential buildings, Murray and D'Vine is famous for its pub-like bar mostly visited by expats. Offering local and imported beer and wine, this place takes pride on its delicious meals that are made fit for drinking beer or wine.

Classic Onion Rings - Php165.00

The place may be a bit intimidating, but once you see their menu, I bet that you'll find how cozy and inviting this place to ordinary guests. From their Pica-Pica selections to their sliders and best sellers that are sure to fill one up, I find the prices reasonable too given Murray and D'Vine is a bar-like place.

Gambino: Italian Cuisine at the Heart of BGC

If there's a list of people's name that foodies have in mind when it comes to great dining experience, good service and unique offering, I believe Marvin Agustin is probably on top it. With his contribution to restaurateur business in the country, people started appreciating food on it modernized style, hence Marvin has made a huge comeback in the limelight but with a more delectable appeal.

And recently, in line with his great restaurants, Marvin opened his latest baby and named it Gambino.

A classic and yet modern take on Italian Cuisine is what this new place has to offer. Situated at the very heart of Bonifacio Global City, Gambino is located at the very circle of Burgos Circle, joining other famous dining places that made a name out of their unique offerings.

I was invited a few days ago there to experience this fancy place that is standing in a two-story establishment and can cater up to 70 people.

Fish Be With You: Fishman's Lenten Offerings

While Lenten Season means fasting to most of us, to others it means "Hunger Games"! That's why Fishman, one of the budding themed fast food store in the metropolis that offers the goodness of the sea in so many different and delectable ways is happy to share their Lenten offerings that are sure to bring peace and delight to the repenting Catholics of this busy city - Fish Be With You!

Blessed be this place for making Lenten truly a meaningful season, and with their fish offerings, I bet it's gonna be a fulfilling too!

Four mouthwatering and truly Pinoy dishes, Fishman is proud to present their share for Lenten fasting through these four fish-base dishes that shares a pocket-friendly price and healthy treats. I was able to try some of them last week, and I tell you, despite of me being not a huge fish lover, I wouldn't mind fasting this Lenten Season if I have these kind of dishes on my table... Fish-Love at Fishman!

I'm really a meat person, but when a delicious fish dish is served to me, I try it and as much as possible is I try to appreciate it. I believe that one of the hardest main ingredient to cook is fish, and if I like a fish dish from a restaurant, I considered that place a great spot to eat.

And a few weeks ago, as I join my friends to try this new place in Fort Bonifacio, Taguig City, Fishman, I was welcomed by a summery vibe that made me excited and ticklish, because just thinking how summer never fails to excite the beach person in me, oh, I'm so excited too to try Fishman's offerings!

If you are thinking that this place is some fancy restaurant, you are wrong! With a fast food appeal, which has a huge impact and appealing approach to Filipinos, Fishman opens its first doors in Bonifacio Global City just a few months ago. With nothing but fish, fish and fish - and some seafood too - on their menu, one can indulge to an amazing array of fish-cooking style and flavor that comes in a very affordable price! Fast food, I told you! :-)

Drinks here at Fishman comes into this small fishbowl type, which to some may look unusual, but for me, I find it really cute! They offer here bottomless sodas and iced teas, but if you wanna try some house specialty, I suggest that you have their Red Sea Iced Tea or the Blue Ocean Iced Tea. Beers are also offered here, I'm just not that sure if it has time availability. :-)

Established by husband-and-wife Chef Roland and Chef Jackie Laudico, Bistro Filipino leveled up the taste and look of our beloved Filipino cuisine with their organic, modern and classy touch that has taken exquisite Pinoy flavor into a world-class appeal.

With menu that is made to specifically promote organic Filipino cuisine to the discriminating palette of every Pinoy eater, Bistro Filipino put up a wonderful combination of different dishes from the different regions of our country for everyone to experience - amazing gifts that our land is rich of.

Floring's - Beating the Odds

With Mang Inasal and ChicBoy in the market beating one another, withstanding the demands of the ever-demanding public, there's this new place in Bonifacio Global City that just opened its doors and offers an almost the same menu that those two giant names have been serving for years now. May this girl-named Floring can teach how these man-named foodie spots some manners and respect to the ladies?

Just opened two weeks ago, Floring's BBQ Grill is the latest addition to the growing foodie spots here in Bonifacio Global City. Brought to us by Chef Florabel Co-Yatco, this new foodie spot is also the latest addition to the elegant line of restaurants of this chef to the stars. Though, as you may all noticed, this one has a different setup, a different approach, one thing it can assure you, big eaters and good-money spenders will enjoy Floring's.

I was invited last week to have a lunch here at Floring's. This place is located in Unit 2, at the corner of 4th Avenue, BGC and is open from 10 in the morning till 11 at night. At first glance, you'll be really attracted to this place. With its giant pig logo, which I personally find really cute, and it very pleasing colors, Floring's made sure that their diners will feel welcome and won't feel any intimidation.

Mardi Gras Night at New Orleans!

Mardi Gras or Fat Tuesday in English is a season where Western countries such as the Latin America and Europe celebrate to eat and be merry before Ash Wednesday or the beginning of Lenten Season. And though, I've been wanting to experience the real deal in Brazil, where the streets are filled with colorful floats and dancers, I was delighted to receive an invitation from New Orleans in Bonifacio High Street to celebrate this world-renowned carnival affair.

Filled with mostly foreigners from the Western countries, New Orleans an Clawdaddy's restaurants, which is  under The Red Crab Group of Restaurants hosted this world-class affair that made the night of every guests full of food, sexy dancers and samba music!

I was actually surprised that it turned out so well. And despite of the whole place being so crowded, I had a great time partying and drinking because I really felt the awesome Mardi Gras feel that I've been wanting to experience.

Modern Indian Taste at Namaste India

Namaste meaning “I bow to you” is one of the popular Indian greetings that are known worldwide. It is a symbol of every Indian to give respect to their elders, traditions, gods and guests.

And now, as I discover this new place at Bonifacio Global City (BGC) named Namaste India, let’s pay respect to one of the world’s most wonderful and festive cuisines – Indian cuisine.

I barely have Indian food because for once, I’m not a fan of spicy food. Thankfully, at Namaste India they serve something that caters Filipino’s tolerance towards spicy food and that’s one reason why you should pay a visit at this place.

If you’re a vegetarian or if you’re a Muslim and looking for some halal dishes, this place is a must-try.
