Eat Like the Highlanders!

One of the most prominent destinations for special gatherings like weddings, baptisms, and birthday parties in the southern part of Metro Manila, Tagaytay Highlands gain its popularity to people who opt a classy yet comfortable special place while being embraced by the cold weather and backed by the magnificent and clear view of Taal Lake and Volcano.

Though, I must clearly indicate that Tagaytay Highlands is an exclusive, for-members-only destination in this part of Tagaytay City, having friends who are so generous to host your stay in this well-planned, controlled and secure property of Belle Corporations will let you enjoy these sumptuous meals that I get to enjoy during my 2-day weekend stay in this lush country-side world of Tagaytay.

Currently housing more than a dozen of well-chosen and high-standard dining facilities, Tagaytay Highlands takes pride on it dining options and its respective dishes that are set to whet one's appetite and make life truly remarkable and well-spent. From Akasaka, Bistro Saratoga, Chosun, Shakes & Soda Pops, Filipino, Highlander Steakhouse, Highlands China Palace, Highlands Golfers Lounge, Midlands Golfers Lounge, Sports Center Veranda, The Bread Shop, The Great Room, Toscana, The Highlands Kitchen, Trellis Grill and ZsaZsa’s KTV, one could just stay inside the club's premises and live a happy life filled with wonderful meals suits to one's discriminating luxury and taste.

Heavenly Brunch at Heaven & Eggs Glorietta

"All happiness depends on a leisurely breakfast."
– John Gunther

Serious question, when was the last time you had a fun, filling and relaxing breakfast time with your family or friends? In a city where everyone is so busy, it isn't really surprising to know that you cannot remember it anymore. That's why there are a lot of restaurants now that are offering all-day breakfast sets to let us still enjoy the food that give us smile in the morning.

And last weekend, together with some of my favorite blogger-friends, we re-experienced the heavenly goodness of Heaven & Eggs in Glorietta, Ayala Center, Makati along with some fun stories and friendly jokes.

I honestly cannot remember when was the last time I dine here in Heaven & Eggs but I'm pretty sure that it wasn't that bad. And now that it has a new owner, well, I'm just glad that it wasn't as intimidating as before. Plus, the fact that the dishes now are more diverse - meaning they are now offering Eastern and Western cuisines - I can't wait to go back and indulge on these heavenly goodness again.

My First Bite on Chops Chicago Steakhouse

I've been working in Makati City for many years now and I've been hearing a lot of good things about this steak place here in Greenbelt 5 for more than a year already, and finally - FINALLY! - I had the chance to sunk my fangs on their delicious offerings! And guess what, if you think this place is quite expensive, wait till you hear about their Matinee Lunch offering!

Last week, before I satisfy my cravings to the sumptuous and lip-smacking lechons of Cebu, I had a great chance to enjoy the cozy place of Chops Chicago Steakhouse, which is located at the 4th Level of Greenbelt 5 in Ayala Center, Makati City. I was able to indulge on their juicy and chewy and good-tasting steaks that are uninmagineable pocket-friendly price!

Chops Chicago Steakhouse made it to the mouth of every carnivore in town almost a year ago when it started offering their delectable and truly heavenly steaks. Though their area is kinda posh, I can assure you that since I got a chance to try their offerings last week, the price of their Matinee offering is really affordable and worthy of every hard-earned money.

My First Hop to Kangaroo Jack

It was at SM North EDSA when I first saw this store named Kangaroo Jack actually, and though I wasn't able to try it then, I'm glad that my first enjoyable dinner from this place took place at SM City Baguio, where the ambiance is definitely relaxing and eating delicious food is a must-do - every hour! Hahaha!

Kangaroo Jack is the latest addition to the growing casual dining place in SM City Baguio. Located at the veranda on the left side of the mall, leading to Starbucks, Kangaroo Jack just opened a few months ago offering mostly American dishes ready to heat up and fill your tummies one dish at a time.

CBD at the Central Business District

If you've been to the Meat Plus and loved it, and also to Tender Bob's and loved it too, then I'm sure that you'll love the food that this new place in CBD has to offer. But don't be confuse, because if you think that we're talking still talking about business here, you are very wrong. It's leisure time! And there's no better way to celebrate it but with Cheesesteaks, Burgers and Drinks! And that's what this CBD in CBD stands for!

Last week, I was invited to dine with a chef whom I've met before at Tender Bob's in Greenbelt Two, Chef Chiloy Santos, together with some others food bloggers whom I've met before too. I came a little late but still welcomed with a smile by my fellow food bloggers and Chef Chiloy.

Upon my arrival, I was immediately assisted to the counter where their menu was posted. That time, I just had a quick glance of the whole place, and I must say that it was larger inside that what I thought of it outside.

A Friday Night-out at Krave - Makati

A few days ago, I was invited by a friend to dine with them and somehow do a little review about this resto here in Legaspi Village, Makati. Little do I know about the resto and the chef behind it, I still said yes, because she said that this place named KRAVE offers a cozy atmosphere and mouthwatering steak that I will surely love.

KRAVE is located at the ground floor of F & M Lopez Building in C. Palanca St., Legaspi Village, Makati City. A stone-throw away from the very busy Ayala Avenue, one can get easily at ease with its classy and really cozy atmosphere.

At day time, I'd say that this place is a good spot to do some business over lunch meetings, while at night, and especially during weekends, this is a great place to hangout with, may you'll be with your colleagues or your friends.

Though this place can only sit 30 to 40 persons, the interior is just perfect to give everyone a classy touch of restaurant, bar and lounge in one. I haven't been to this kind of place for a long time, so it as kind of a treat to me too.

L'Entrecote: A Taste of France Now in Burgos Circle

I believe it is of every Filipino's dream to  to see and experience the life in one of the most romantic places on earth. And I, being one of those dreamers, I can't help myself not just to daydream about the sweetness of France but also long to taste its delectable cuisine that it offers to the world. I can't wait for that day to say Lafanggero hits France! ^_^

L'Entrecote, which originates from the Gineste de Saurs family is actually defined by three iconic groups of restaurants. Thanks to Chef Martin Kaspar for bringing one of those restaurants here in the country. And more thanks because it can be easily found in the heart of the metropolis - Burgos Circle, Bonifacio Global City, Taguig.

Chef Martin Kaspar

This two-story piece of heaven offers a wide array of French delights than you could expect. And now that it is considered as one of Philippine Tatlers' 2011 Best Restaurants for Steaks, expect more delicious dishes and more happiness from this bistro. Can't get enough of France now, eh?
