Golden Sunday at SM Megamall's Supermarket!

What would you do if one day someone handed you a golden stub that will entitle you take home an amazing and golden prize? Isn't in amazing? That's what I simply experienced earlier. After buying some stuff at SM Megamall's SM Supermarket, I was treated to a golden surprise sweetened up by Selecta Magnum's newest flavor and color - the Magnum Gold!

Simultaneously happening in 8 SM Supermarkets and 2 Hypermarkets, namely SM Supermarket North EDSA, SM Supermarket Megamall, SM Supermarket Aura, SM Supermarket Makati, SM Supermarket Fairview, SM Supermarket Baguio, SM Supermarket BF Paranaque, SM Supermarket Sothmall, SM Supermarket Mall of Asia and SM Supermarket Clark, SM Supermarkets led the Magnum Gold craze in the country by sharing 200 free Magnum Golds to their first 200 customers a day before its official launch.

Yes, I was one of the lucky few who get to taste this latest delight from Magnum. Hahaha! We were given with a gold stub after paying to the Supermarket's counter and asked to come back at 3:00 p.m.

And at exactly 3:00 p.m. the great reveal happen where the covered part of the Supermarket showed a freezer full of these newest delights from Selecta Magnum. One coupon is equivalent to one Magnum Gold bar.

We were asked to fall in line to receive our free ice cream bar, and right after that, we were also given a chance to open this vault where a golden prize is locked  up. We have to key in 6 digits, sadly, I'm not as lucky as the 5 lucky shoppers who took home a golden MP3 player!

Aside from this happening at SM Supermarket, SM also gave out 100 Magnum Gold bars at the SM Cinema, which I'm sure movie goers will enjoy the way we enjoyed ours at the SM Supermarket.

Tomorrow, February 10, is the official launch of Magnum Gold and SM Supermarkets, SM Hypermarkets and Savemore Markets in Luzon will be selling them until supplies lasts! While SM Supermarkets in Visayas and Mindanao will start selling these delectable treats starting February 17, 2014.

I believe these Magnum Gold bars are being sold at Php55.00 each, but in SM Supermarkets, they have this Buy 2 Pay Php100.00 only! I guess that's their early Valentine's treat to all lovebirds in town.

The Magnum Gold is a vanilla ice cream coated with Belgian chocolate coated with Salted Caramel hence the golden color. I liked it. It's a little different from the previous Magnum flavors, so I think it is still worth the craze. Hehe.
