When speaking of delicious and affordable "Food Court" food, I bet mall rats would have La Piadina on top of their lists. With its heartwarming and almost authentic Italian look and flavor, Filipino's love for Italian food was hyped up even more when Chef Giorgio Matera, La Piadina's heart and soul - opened its first store at the food court of Glorietta in Ayala Center, Makati City.

T'was 12 years ago when our favorite Italian dishes were launched in a hole-in-a-wall concept at Glorietta's food court, Food Choices. Featuring new and exciting menu from four select regions in Italy - Puglia, Emilia Romagna, Piemonte and Toscana - La Piadina's Chef Giorgio shares his greatness in cooking Italian dishes together with his wife, who by the way love our country so much.

Fueled by his passion for Italian food, he took the challenge of venturing into the fast food business, believing that food whether expensive or inexpensive, fine, casual or fast food must always be fresh and of the best quality.

What would you do if one day someone handed you a golden stub that will entitle you take home an amazing and golden prize? Isn't in amazing? That's what I simply experienced earlier. After buying some stuff at SM Megamall's SM Supermarket, I was treated to a golden surprise sweetened up by Selecta Magnum's newest flavor and color - the Magnum Gold!

All-time Favorite from Pinkberry - Strawberry!

I guess Pinkberry wouldn't as pink as it should be without one of the world's all-time favorite flavors in their stores, right? And so, as this unique flavor finally hits their Philippine stores, I'm sure that more and more yogurt lovers will fall deeply in love with Pinkberry, most specially now that they finally have Strawberry Pinkberry! 

Strawberry, being on one-of-a-kind flavor that tastes just like the fruit itself is what Pinkberry sharing to us in this cold rainy season. Perfect to pair with their distinct and delicious toppings, I was able to enjoy that and a whole lot more last time as I was invited to food taste every cool combination they have prepared for their guests: Strawberry Classic (fresh strawberries and balsamic glaze), Strawberry Truffle (fresh strawberries, milk chocolate crunch and a waffle cookie), Strawberry Squeeze (fresh strawberries, fresh watermelon and watermelon puree), Strawberry Crunch (fresh strawberries, low fat oats honey granola, toasted almonds), and finally, the Strawberry Duet (fresh strawberries, raspberry, coconut).

Everything made the strawberry flavor really exciting, but for me, the one that really gave me this sweet and relaxing flavor fit for this kind of weather that we are having is the Strawberry Truffles.

The sweet blend of milk and coffee  was really tasteful but since this is an ice blend, there was this like a minty kick to it. The white chocolate's purpose I think is just to make the swirl a little think.

I'm a HUGE chocolate lover. And having a day without chocolate is like a suicide to me. So when I received an invitation to attend this Cocoaphilia event, ask no more, I was there - on the dot! Haha!

It is more on the business side than about the showcase of different chocolates and ice creams per se, but I still got to enjoy and learn something new about the industry of chocolate and ice cream making at the 1st Philippine Chocolate and Ice Cream Show.

Typhoon Basyang couldn’t stop this mouth-watering event as chocolate and ice cream aficionados and retailers conquered World Trade Center in Pasay City to witness this gathering of pots and pans, flours and sugars for the country’s first ever chocolate and ice cream expo.

From nuts, to wines, to soda and soda makers, to the displays of their sweet products, to the stuff that you can use for parties, basically, everything was at this expo.
