Chili's is indeed unstoppable in sharing the most wonderful Southwestern dishes they could create. And if you think they haven't thought of infusing some Filipino flavor to their latest dishes, I guess you haven't experienced the Chili's newest offerings. I bet, you'll enjoy Chili's more - your way!
Last week, I had a chance to revisit one of my favorite dining places in the metro - Chili's. If you are on a budget but you wanna have a great time, drinking and snacking some food, Chili's is really the place to be. With their wide array of enjoyable drinks and cocktails, they have something to match with your craving, which is also offered through their colorful selection of dishes.
On my visit, I've tried Chili's three new dishes - the Fried Quesadilla Bites, Bacon & Cheddar Steak and the Parmesan Chicken or Tilapia. Told you, get ready for some American-Southwestern-Filipino food infusion.
For starter, one could find excitement on these golden flour tortilla nibblers stuffed with Southwest chicken and cheese, sprinkled with chopped cilantro and served with chipotle sour cream.
Fried Quesadilla Bites
The crunch and spice is perfect to boost up your appetite and tickle your taste bud that will ready you to an amazing foodie adventure here at Chili's. For those who love really spicy dish, this one is for you!
Chili's also takes pride on their filling and delicious full meals, and technically, three of their new dishes offer complete plated dishes that are sure to fill your tummy up and add smile on your face.
Bacon & Cheddar Steak
First that I was able to try was the Bacon & Cheddar Steak. Meat eaters, like me, would really enjoy this nice slab of meat topped with melted cheddar cheese and matched with my choice of mashed potato and steamed vegetables.
I would enjoy my serving more if the melted cheese was served separately. I think it made my steak a little tough and dry.
Contrary to the dryness of the steak are the juicy and tender chicken and fish in this next two dishes.
Parmesan Chicken
Flavor and texture beautifully come together with every bite of Parmesan Chicken or Tilapia, a slice of perfectly cooked chicken breast or tilapia fillet (depending on the guest's preference) crusted with Parmesan and Monterey Jack cheese to seal the meat's natural juices. Both are finished off with a drizzle of chili butter for a bit of heat and sprinkled with spring onions.
Parmesan Tilapia
I'm not really a chicken person, but when I tried the Parmesan Chicken, I was surprised how flavorful the chicken is and how complementing it is to the Chili's cilantro rice and the steamed vegetables. In fact, the Chicken Parmesan was my favorite on this visit that I was almost finish it whole, big serving.
Guests who will order Bacon & Cheese Steak and Parmesan Chicken or Tilapia would have an option to choose two side dishes from the selection of home-style fries, corn-on-the-cob, Chili’s cilantro rice and fresh veggies to the staple steamed white rice, mashed potatoes and broccoli spears.
Banana Bread Pudding and Sparkling Soda
To cap off my wonderful and colorful food adventure (again) here at Chili's, I tried their mouthwatering Banana Bread Pudding, which is also new to their list and the Sparkling Soda, which shared that fruity and refreshing concoction of strawberry puree and soda.
I would definitely comeback to have some more of that chicken, and of course their frozen margarita! Hahaha!
It feels like Cinco de Mayo even if we are not really celebrating it.
Thank you, Chili's for this another amazing treat! Happy eating, everyone!
