Taking its name from the old Occitane for “mixture” or in popular culture, refers to a mixed greens, Mesclun fires up the kitchen of The Linden Suites sharing new and unique dishes while balancing the experience with its classy yet comfortable interior.
Mesclun dishes vary from contemporary Filipino favorites to Western – mostly European – cuisines that are prepared gourmet style. Apart from Mesclun, Chef Katrina is also the mastermind behind Chuck’s Deli - an American-style super-sandwich and burger shop boasting of homemade breads and cold cuts; and Paulene Chocolat Suisses - a premium line of made-to-order chocolate confections.
For starter, one could fine relaxation as well as healthy option from their selection of drinks. I was able to try their version of Strawberry Banana Smoothie, and a favorite pick-upper after an afternoon nap or after strenuous gym training, the Power Shake.

Mesclun’s selection of appetizer and salad is quite simple. I look no further after laying my eyes on the Yakuza Chicken and their very own Mesclun Salad. I must say that every serving is actually good for two. So if you are coming with a date, these dishes are perfect for you two.

Mesclun Salad
The Yakuza Chicken is like Chicken Poppers, only it was prepared the Japanese way and was served with a Katsu sauce. Kids would enjoy this one since the taste is like their favorite fried chicken only rounded and bite-size. While the Mesclun Salad, with all the ingredients tossed on to it, is a perfect starter to set the mood. I like how generous the serving size is, giving the whole experience more flavorful and colorful.
Past lover would find comfort too from their European-style Linguini with Truffle Cream Sauce and Pinoy-style Sisig Spaghetti.

Sisig Spaghetti
The Sisig Spaghetti was good but the Truffle Cream Sauce was so good that I couldn’t stop eating it. Good think, I was reminded that there’s still the main dish coming next, which is composed of our favorite adobo and rice. But if you think that this is just some sort of our typical adobo, well, you’re wrong.
Guava Pork Adobo
Mesclun just made our favorite Adobo more enticing and delectable. With the addition of guava to it, the flavor made more Pinoy because of the fruit’s additional sweetness and sour in it. Though, I must say that I was a bit distracted by the guava seeds, I still enjoyed every bit of the tender meat and well-blended sauce.
My night at Mesclun was made sweeter with two of their most in-demand desserts, the Japanese Cheesecake and Almond Roca Cake.

Almond Roca Cake
The Japanese Cheesecakes was really good, but there’s really something unique about the flavor of Almond Roca Cake that makes a lot of people crave for it – including me. There’s such comforting feel about it that made my night and I’m coming back to Mesclun to have it again and again.
It is always a delight to have a hotel that gives you nothing but the best of best. And here at The Linden Suites, with its made-for-guests facilities and amenities, you wouldn’t be left hanging and hungry with Mesclun as its kitchen and dining area. Thank you for the wonderful and tummy-filling experience.
Happy eating!
