Kogi Bulgogi Opens at Gateway Mall

Despite of being packed with wide array of restaurants offering world-renowned cuisines, Araneta Center's Gateway Mall can't just get enough of these wonderfully themed restaurants as it recently welcomes one of iFoods Inc.'s leading brands, Kogi Bulgogi.

A Korean-inspired restaurant designed to excite not just one's tummy but also the eyes, its latest branch opens at the 3rd level of Gateway Mall last month. Filled with modern furniture pieces that  blended so well, Kogi Bulgogi Gateway also opens with Cafe Soon, a Korean-themed coffee shop under that brand's title.

I was lucky to be there on its opening day, tasting the first steaming dishes of the day. With variations of Korean dishes ranging from Bulgogi, Ssambap, Ramyeon, Gui, Sushi, Bibimbap and more, Kogi Bulgogi Gateway offers a modern twist to the world's most loved Korean dishes with a splash of KPOP music and feel adding excitement to the place.

One Fine Luncheon at Watami, Glorietta

If there's one thing that I really love about Japanese culture and heritage, that is definitely the simplicity of everything. The meaning of the phrase "what you see is what you get" is embodied by this culture, and the fact that it is so evident on their cuisine, no wonder a lot of people all over the world adore this unique Asian culture. And last week, I had a wonderful taste of that lovely culture when I visited this newly opened Japanese restaurant in Glorietta called Watami Japanese Casual Restaurant.

Watami, which is said to be the number one casual restaurant in Japan, is finally here in Manila and is glad to introduce their new lunch set menu that will whet the appetite of office workers and diners alike who are looking to experience an authentic taste of Japan at the convenience of their hectic schedules.

Propped up with a homey, low-key lighting and booth-style seating, this was my spot for my lunch break last week as I enjoyed their whooping 50% off on these new lunch set menu. The lunch set menus start at Php275.00 (Php137.70 at 50% off), and are served with salad and miso soup. With options that cater to a wide array of gastronomes, from raw foodies to noodle nibblers to rice lovers, it was really a good choice!

Chef Bernard.Com: A Name You'll Love to Taste

He was a former model turned chef after studying at Le Cordon Bleu, and luckily, he chose to go back home after years of residing in Pasadena, California to let us taste his masterpieces that truly speaks of his Ilonggo blood. Chef Bernard Banares recently opens his first restaurant in the heart of Makati for us to enjoy the wonderful fusion of food and style and he calls it simply Chef Bernard.Com.

Located at the the ground floor of Greenbelt Radissons Building in Aguirre Street, Legaspi Village, Makati City, Chef Bernard.Com offers a delectable fusion of Asian and Filipino cuisine as it gives its guests fast, affordable, unique and delicious offerings that is set to be healthy and with a modern twist.

I was able to try some of its dishes last week, and though I must say that I do have high expectations from this place after knowing that this is co-owned by renowned designer and HRM degree holder Randy Ortiz, upon entering the place - well, actually, upon seeing the place from the outside, I already know that I'm in for a great treat.
