Just when you thought you've been to almost all of the best all-day breakfast restaurants in the metro, here comes an establishment that offers more than it's earthly color. More inviting and more delectable as you could imagine, Greenfield District takes pride of Brown's Restaurant for its themed store that will give their guest a cozy, filling and enjoyable experience that they would love to do over and over again.
Brown's Restaurant is nestled at the very heart of what used to be an old jeepney terminal, The Portal. A place that offers a variety of food shops that you can enjoy and indulge on your visit here at Greenfield District all day. From breakfast, lunch and dinner, they made sure that we'll find the right spot for us to enjoy their lush greenery in the morning and amazing and lovely events at night.
The day I visited Brown's Restaurant, everything looks in place, but one of the owners who was there that time told us that they are still in a soft launch, so he informed us that our order may take some time, but he'll make sure that everything will be delicious and enjoyable.
Other than its chic family-friendly ambiance, Zarzuela on the 6th Level, East Wing of Shangri-La Plaza in EDSA could also be a great venue for friends gathering that are sure to bring more color and life to this casual dining place. And a few days ago, together with some good friends from the blogging community, I indulged again into their amazing Filipino food that gave a delightful and fulfilling meaning to the word "play"
Carrying the title "Play on Filipino Flavors," Zarzuela gave a whole new meaning to the word that locals and tourists can definitely enjoy. From the rice dish, down to the chicken, pork, beef and seafood dishes that signify how abundant our country is, Zarzuela is definitely a must-visit place ready to share a modern twist to our all-time favorite meals.
Since some of us have been here before, including me, I opted to try something more to find out how good their dishes go. And so for our gathering, while some of us opted to have the plain white rice, there are some who tried their Chorizo Rice.
To most of us, when we heard of the term Zarzuela, the first thing that comes to our mind is the stage play brought to us by Spaniards way back when. But today, as EDSA Shangri-La Mall opens its new wing, they are giving Zarzuela a new meaning, something that will take us back to our first love - Filipino food - while treating to us a classy service and ambiance enough to say it's more fun in the Philippines!
A few days back, I was invited by a friend to join her on a lunch in this new place called Zarzuela. It is located at the 6th level of the newly opened wing of Shangri-La Mall in EDSA. And since I haven't been to this so-called posh wing, which is the East Wing, I said yes with my palette ready to do some adventure!
Reminding of that one restaurant scene from the TV show Sex and the City, Zarzuela imbibes this modern, minimalist look that has this sexy and purist appeal that glistens under the morning sun. It you're going to ask me, I think this is a nice place to start your day. With its simple yet beautiful fixture, Zarzuela takes a modern approach to its name making more elegant and chic at the same time.
And despite of it being in a soft opening that time, my overall experience here was good and worth it. The place is more of a fine-dining restaurant, so expect some pricey dishes, but on the other hand, the serving size are mostly good enough for two person, so yeah, its quite fair enough.
Whenever I hear the word “Asya”, the first thing that comes into my mind was the life I had back in high school remembering all the stuff about the countries in Asia. From their population to their geographical description up to the attitudes of every nation’s people, everything just keeps rushing back to my memory – a thing that is hard to control.
But if there’s something that I really loved about remembering all of these things, that’ll be the rich and very wonderful world of culinary of every nation in Asia.
And with this, let me introduce to you this new place that I’ve been to, a place that will soon-to-be the hippest spot in Quezon City – the Centris Walk – and in this wonderful and amazing place nests a gastronomic hotspot that you will surely love, Asya.
The Centris Walk is such a very modern place, no wonder this new and upcoming restaurant chooses to stay here because of the oh-so perfect concept.
Asya is a really nice place, wide space and very decent setup. They have a private room for special functiosn which you can use upon request. And though, the whole space doesn’t speak of the whole continent per se, they have these chairs that are some weird and funny at the same time.
