I love everything from WangFu!

I'm sure that Singaporean dish lovers in and around the metropolis have already been indulging to the sumptuous dishes prepared by WangFu Chinese Cafe in Il Terrazzo, Tomas Morato, Quezon City. And I honestly cannot blame them because when I got to try their amazing array of offerings, I can't say not to them at all, plainly because they all of them are oh, so good!

Despite of my drive to keep myself away from the delicious food around the metro, I gave it up a few weeks ago to the delightful and very inviting appeal of one of the most favorite Chinese/Singaporean restaurants in Quezon City - the WangFu Chinese Cafe. Combining the concept of traditional Singaporean Hawker Center and Hongkong Tea House, WangFu serves most of the well-loved Singaporean and Cantonese comfort food in a very Pinoy way - something that is so hard to resist, really.

Bringing in to the Philippines a chef who hails from China, WangFu promises a full menu of authentic Chinese and Singaporean cuisines suit to fill every Pinoy's cravings. From appetizers down to their colorful and festive dessert, one will get at home with their wonderful mix of flavors and style.

For starter, Chinese and Singaporean dishes are high on sauces and dips, so if in case you order something that you think will be better to have some soy sauce, chili sauce or ginger sauce, don't hesitate to ask. The servers here are really nice and friendly, so don't be shy. They are more willing to serve you and have you enjoy their dishes.

More of East Asian Cuisine from Hong Kong Roast Jupiter!

It's been a year now since I first indulged to the wonderful Hong Kong flavor brought to us by business woman Mary Chan. Her dishes and Hong Kong Roast Food Express' menu was inspired by her travels and gustatory adventures abroad providing a pocket of sincere, casual Chinese dining in the middle of busy, impersonal Makati. 

Hong Kong Roast started out as a side business for Mary Chan, but after the raves from her really delicious offerings, Hong Kong Roast is happy to announce that they are branching out now to make more hungry Filipino happy.

And few weeks ago, I had my first dining experience at their re-opened store in Jupiter Street, in Makati City. Specifically located at the corner of Jupiter and Galaxy Streets, Hong Kong Roast Food Express offers a classy yet homey Chinese dining experience that will delight every hard-working employee in this side of town.

Kung Fu Kitchen now Kicking at SM Manila

If there's second cuisine that we, Filipinos, would consider, I guess, there's no doubt that it would the amazing Chinese cuisine. Since their colonization, our country has been one of the steaming post of Chinese delicacies in Asia, that's why no wonder that in every town here in our country, there's that small but really filling Chinese restaurant ready to serve you with oily but delicious Chinese treats. And now, SM Manila brings another Chinese cuisine option ready to kick your hunger and fill your tummy with sumptuous delights - Kung Fu Kitchen - Feasts of Fury!

Peacefully situated at the 4th level of SM Manila, Kung Fu Kitchen is another themed-restaurant from the masters of theme restaurants Raymund Magdaluyo and Marvin Agustin. With a concept of a typical Chinese restaurants that we do see in movies, such as Bruce Lee and Jackie Chan's movies, Kung Fu Kitchen is filled with interesting interiors and colorful dishes ready to test your cravings.

Dragon Chef Trinoma - Now Open!

Nowadays, people are not just going to a place where there's delicious food, the ambiance and the interior are now playing major roles in choosing where to eat and where to stay. That's why here in the newly opened Chinese food haven in Trinoma, the Dragon Chef, they didn't just made a hearty dining place, they also made it hip for every foodie to enjoy!

Located at the fourth level - garden area of this hippest mall in Quezon City, Dragon Chef opened its doors just two weeks ago to give a more colorful twist in every Pinoy's Chinese cravings. From the makers of Robotosan, Sumo Sam, John & Yoko, Mr. Kurosawa, Marciano’s and more, Dragon Chef promises to make your stay in their place as unique as possible but still with that classic home, Pinoy style.

On my first visit here, the splash of vibrant colors welcomed me as well as the wonderful aroma of their dishes came crawling up to my nostrils. I guess the hippy look of this place was specifically made to boost our appetite, because even though I wasn't that hungry that night, I managed to eat a lot and enjoyed most of their offerings.

The Red Crab Series: Komrad at Eastwood Libis

Inspired by two distinct districts of China, Komrad got its remarkable and worth-sharing dishes from the districts of Hunan and Sichuan. With both being located at the southern part of the country with mostly high-intensity dishes, or spicy in simplest term, Komrad at Eastwood Mall in Libis, Quezon City just opened its door to share to you authentic Hunan and Sichuan dishes.

Located at the second level of the Eastwood Mall, along the Veranda, Komrad is the newest addition to the growing themed restaurants of The Red Crab Group of Companies. And now, with actor-chef Marvin Agustin joining them on this project, Komrad is considered as one of the must-visit restaurant now here in Eastwood.

The Red Crab Series: Crustasia Asian Bistro at Rockwell

Thailand, Indonesia, Singapore, Malaysia and China - dishes from these countries made the menu of this elegant foodie spot in Rockwell Power Plant Mall at Makati City more delicious and more festive. And with its contemporary take on these world-class dishes, I'm sure you'll also enjoy dining in its lovely place as we did. Crustasia... a little bit of Asia.

Last Friday, together with my favorite foodie friends, we indulged to the most challenging foodie treat that we've ever had. Challenging not only because we were offered with a lot of dishes, but we also got to taste the spiciest and hottest dishes that Asia could offer to the world.

As you may all know, I'm not a "tough" guy, and one of the things that makes me a not-so-tough guy is spicy food. I can tolerate a little bite of chili on my food, and anything more than that, well, I need a pail of water. Hehe.
