Wicked opens at Shangri-La Plaza East Wing

Evil, sinful, naughty, mischievous, playful and roguish - whatever and however you define the WICKED, I really don't mind now. Because by the opening of this new sweet shop in Shangri-La Plaza in Manadaluyong, nothing can change the definition of "Wicked" in my mind - which is sweet, delicious, sinfully good and playfully thought!

Led by Chef Christine Paredes of Cravings, and helped out by in-house chefs Ton Albasin, RJ Bernabe and Mac Reyes, Wicked is a place where one can have his/her sweets with a shot of their favorite alcohol. Exciting as it sounds, Wicked's menu is divided into three characteristics sure to tickle one's mind - the Wickedly Sinful, Wickedly Sexy, and Wickedly Intoxicating.

I had a wonderful time visiting the place on its opening day last October 15, and boy, the day that I thought I'll just be having some sweets turns out to be a wonderful time having a chat with Chef Christine, sharing some information about the place and how they've come up with such a "wicked" idea.

Affordable Dinner Meals by Figaro Coffee Company

During rainy season, one of the many employee problems, who spent most of his nights in the office, that I encounter was where to eat dinner. I'm a mid-shift worker, and during night, this is one of the many questions I have to resolve. Well, there are a lot of fast food chain around our area, but of course, there are nights that I wants something homey, something like a home-cooked meal, and to honest, it is hard to find those kind of meals if you are stuck in a place far from the mall area.

Thank goodness, my problem was answered deliciously last week when I found out that Figaro Coffee Company now offers delectable and really affordable complete Dinner Meals for everyone!

There are four appetizing dishes to choose from - the Chicken Rice Bake, the Tofu Steak Rice, which are already old-timers, and the new dishes - the Crusted Dory Fillet in Creamy Pesto Sauce and Rice Pilaf, and Pan-Seared Chicken Barbecue with Java Rice.

With its serving size, colors and aroma, I must say that my Php150.00 had already got it value. And when I got to taste them, well, it was just perfect for a rainy night!

Cafe Monsees: Heavenly Goodness at Quezon City

Tomas Morato, Timog Avenue, Trinoma and Libis - these are probably the names of the places that one would utter when asked where to eat in Quezon City. But did you know that somewhere down in Katipunan Avenue, despite of that highway being too busy serving the school boys and school girls of Ateneo and U.P., a heavenly bakeshops offers the most heart-warming kinds of bread that you could find in this City of Stars. With it's name that came from one of the owner's, who is also a monsignor, Cafe Monsees is ready to serve a cloud of happiness to everyone!

Last Monday, since it was a long weekend, I graced an invitation to check out this place where they say heaven and earth meet. It is located along the the bustling street of Katipunan Avenue in White Plains, Quezon City, which to me, was very uncommon. But despite of its uncommonness to me, I braved in and let the burning excitement in me comes to life.

With its two red doors standing side by side, Cafe Monsees is very hard to miss. It is adjacent to other local foodie places that's why asking the cab driver to take us there was no problemo.

After salivating over pictures and blog posts and pictures and blog posts of my friends who had a taste of these sumptuous cakes from Bacolod City, I finally had my own time to dig in to these sweet and delicious and enjoyed these fantastic Calea cakes! Wee!

From having a hearty lunch at Manokan Country and after buying some pasalubong at BongBong's, my superfriends and I spent some time visiting this sweetest place in Bacolod. I believe Calea has just been there for a few years, but travelers consider the place a must-visit now , and its cakes a must-have!

I never thought that they really have these wide selection, and to surprise us more, the prices were really that affordable! Compared to the other coffee shops I tried here in Manila, Calea offer not just enjoyable treats but also pocket-friendly delights too - something that Manila coffee shops must have.
