A Reunion at Caterings by Q Bistro

If you love something and you badly miss having it, no matter how far it may be; in my case, no matter how busy I am, if I miss having it and I'm dying to have it, I'll risk everything just to have it. Gets?

Well, it's nothing too serious - it's just  my favorite Roast Beef from Q Bistro, which has a new nest at Unit 56C & 56D East Capitol Drive, Kapitoloyo, Pasig City. And yes, finally, I got to visit this favorite resto of mine last Sunday with my family, who for the first time, met my favorite chef in town, Chef Mia K. Catipay!

Designed to satisfy one's desire for beauty, elegance and comfort, I must say that this new nest of Q Bistro is one lovely spot fit for a family or a group of friends who are looking for a nice place to chill out. Ready to fill one's eyes and stomach with artistically chosen designs and appetizing dishes, our Sunday brunch here started with amazement to the decors well put by the Q Bistro team.

Pan de Manila: From Pan de Sal to Donut

The evolution of Filipino food has indeed gone along way. From our favorite tasty dishes that are now turning into exquisitely prepared gourmets, which are being raved about abroad, to our ordinary breakfast meals that has turned into an all-day kind of thing. And guess what, our all-time favorite pan de sal is also paving its way as it takes a notch up through Pan de Manila's newest creation - the Pan de Donut.

A Pan de Sal and a Doughnut in one, Pan de Donut is attracting a lot of attention from regular and extra extraordinaire Pinoy foodies as it shares baked-to-yummy-perfection dough that kids and adults could enjoy. Offering a healthy alternative to our ordinary pan de sal, Pan de Donut is said to be bromate-and trans-fat free, thus expect a mouthful of soft, filling bread that is guaranteed healthy in every bite.

I had a wonderful, colorful and truly Pinoy experience with these treats last time at Pan de Manila, Market! Market!, where these sweet treats are currently sold at, and I'm telling you now - once, you get a hold and a bite of it, it's very hard to stop.

Cafe Monsees: Heavenly Goodness at Quezon City

Tomas Morato, Timog Avenue, Trinoma and Libis - these are probably the names of the places that one would utter when asked where to eat in Quezon City. But did you know that somewhere down in Katipunan Avenue, despite of that highway being too busy serving the school boys and school girls of Ateneo and U.P., a heavenly bakeshops offers the most heart-warming kinds of bread that you could find in this City of Stars. With it's name that came from one of the owner's, who is also a monsignor, Cafe Monsees is ready to serve a cloud of happiness to everyone!

Last Monday, since it was a long weekend, I graced an invitation to check out this place where they say heaven and earth meet. It is located along the the bustling street of Katipunan Avenue in White Plains, Quezon City, which to me, was very uncommon. But despite of its uncommonness to me, I braved in and let the burning excitement in me comes to life.

With its two red doors standing side by side, Cafe Monsees is very hard to miss. It is adjacent to other local foodie places that's why asking the cab driver to take us there was no problemo.

Bacolod: Take Me Back to Calea!

After salivating over pictures and blog posts and pictures and blog posts of my friends who had a taste of these sumptuous cakes from Bacolod City, I finally had my own time to dig in to these sweet and delicious and enjoyed these fantastic Calea cakes! Wee!

From having a hearty lunch at Manokan Country and after buying some pasalubong at BongBong's, my superfriends and I spent some time visiting this sweetest place in Bacolod. I believe Calea has just been there for a few years, but travelers consider the place a must-visit now , and its cakes a must-have!

I never thought that they really have these wide selection, and to surprise us more, the prices were really that affordable! Compared to the other coffee shops I tried here in Manila, Calea offer not just enjoyable treats but also pocket-friendly delights too - something that Manila coffee shops must have.

Banapple Greenhills - You Complete Me!

I've been wanting to try Banapple since I saw its branch here in Ayala Triangle Gardens. Unfortunately, with the whole nine-yard of workaholics all lined up there - and around it - every lunch time, my wish and tummy craving remain a lifelong dream.

But last week was a different story.

I got a text inviting me to have a taste of the food that I wanna try for the longest time. And there at Northeast Square in Greenhills, San Juan settled a fine looking foodie venue that really perked up my appetite that day - Banapple! Wee!

The colors, the interior and the spot - it was all perfect for that day! I have a big appetite all ready to indulge at this very appetizing place.
