Typhoon Basyang couldn’t stop this mouth-watering event as chocolate and ice cream aficionados and retailers conquered World Trade Center in Pasay City to witness this gathering of pots and pans, flours and sugars for the country’s first ever chocolate and ice cream expo.
From nuts, to wines, to soda and soda makers, to the displays of their sweet products, to the stuff that you can use for parties, basically, everything was at this expo.
There were also some booths that gave free samples of their raw and finish products – the edible one of course! Hehehe.
Patisserie Filipino
I saw some interesting stuff in which most of them were available at a much discounted price. There were also some chocolates and ice creams or ice cream-like products that are for sale. And I got to taste a 50-Peso Ferrero gelato from Harry’s, yum!
And at the far end of the huge space of WTC was the battle dome for the competing chefs for the 1st Philippine Chocolate and Ice Cream Show Chocolate Showpiece Competiton and Chocolate Cake Battle Royale.
There are five individuals who fought for the Chocolate Showpiece Competition and ten for the Chocolate Battle Royale.
At the end of the day, only three were rewarded for the Chocolate Showpiece Competition and also three for the Chocolate Cake Battle Royale.
Congratulation to the organizers of the 1st Philippine Chocolate and Ice Cream Show, led by the Pasty Alliance of the Philippines!
I just hope that next year, you’ll have a more extravagant, more gimmicks and more booths for us to truly enjoy the show.
The 1st Philippine Chocolate and Ice Cream Show runs from July 14 to 16, 2010 at the World Trade Center in Pasay City.
See you there!
Happy eating!
