Sisterfields: The Newest Farm-to-Table Tagaytay Destination

Although visiting Tagaytay wouldn't be complete without its steamy and flavorful Bulalo, The Cravings Group (TCG) headed by its mother-and-daughter tandem, President and Founder Ms. Susana 'Annie'  Guerrero and CEO Marinela 'Badjie' Trinidad, came up with a new and fresh 'farm-to-table' concept that will surely delight locals and tourists of this top go-to place near the metro.

Nestled elegantly in one of the top-of-mind hotels in Tagaytay City, Summit Ridge Hotel, Sisterfields is set to whet one's appetite with its well-thought meals and dishes perfect to create a much more memorable Tagaytay vacation. Taking pride of Tagaytay and nearby provinces’ local produce, Sisterfields is delighted to share their “Farm to Fork”, “Pasture to Plate” and “Crop to Cup” offerings.

Sisterfields takes pride of its bountiful selection of farm-to-table fares, which are locally sourced. On my first ever visit on this sunny place, aside from the well-crafted menu; we were also introduced to their blossoming garden that will soon supply their needed ingredients.

Annie's Garden

On our first dibs here at Sisterfields, we were immediately entertained by their version of Crispy Tawilis and Tinapa Spring Rolls. Light yet exciting mood-setter appetizers, these two dishes were just right to awaken our palate. I actually find the Tawilis so crunchy that having fried rice with it is already an ideal breakfast that I would surely enjoy. Awakening as it was, the Tinapa Spring Roll shared the same experience with a pinch of sweet, sour and smoky flavor.

Crispy Tawilis with Kaffir Lime Aioli - Php140.00

Tinapa Spring Rolls with Sweet Chili Sauce - Php145.00

Any visit in Tagaytay wouldn't be complete without some steamy, comforting soup, and here at Sisterfields, they gave chowder a whole enjoyable twist that made us more excited for the upcoming dishes.

Potato, Corn & Bacon Chowder - Php155.00

What I like about this chowder? The nice blend of all the solid ingredients made this like a really comforting one, plus the nice soft bun that comes with it, this one definitely got my two thumbs up.

Fresh green salad cane next and filled our table with such nice contrast and aroma. If you are not a fan of greenies, go ahead and skip it. But I must tell you that their Chopped Salad with Green Goddess Dressing shared a refreshing flavor to the palate, while the wonderful combination of ripe mango, kamias, and jimaca salad all drizzled with bagoong vinaigrette was so great that made me ask where they've got the vinaigrette. Luckily, they were so nice to tell me that made it from their kitchen.

Chopped Salad with Green Goddess Dressing - Php320.00

Mango, Kamias and Jicama Salad with Bagoong Vinaigrette

For families who are coming in with kids no need to worry, because if your kids want fried chicken, you can get one super delicious and healthy from Sisterfields.

Southern Fried Chicken with Pan Gravy - Php575.00 and
Cerveza Negra braised boneless beef short ribs with Garlic Mashed Potatoes - Php550.00

Kids and kids at heart will surely enjoy their version of Southern Fried Chicken with Pan Gravy. Served with coleslaw and bread, this meal set is a sure bell-ringer for your kids appetite. Try it, and I'm sure that you'll enjoy it too, I did.

But if you want something that the carnivore in you could enjoy, their very tender and remarkable boneless beef, which is cooked in cerveza negra. Seated on top of a very creamy mashed potato, the boneless beef short ribs was like a meal made in heaven! I seriously enjoyed and I can't stop thinking about it afterwards. There's just no words to explain how good it was.

Sticky Baby Back Ribs

Since Tagaytay is more of a family destination, we usually look for something that comes in big serving, and here at Sisterfields, a family size of their Sticky Baby Back Ribs is just enough to serve more than a dozen of persons. But since it's too delicious, I think a plateful of this would still be enough for a dozen, so I'm suggesting that you get at least 2 orders. Hehe.

Creme Brules - Php95.00

Our day at Sisterfields ended with some sweet treats from Chef Noel dela Rama, who personally look over the meals that were prepared for us. “I want to bring something new to the table. I want Sisterfields to be known for simple, well-cooked, straightforward dining,” he said.

For more sweetness, look no more, because in this store, you could also find some of The Cravings Group's best dessert and "pasalubongs" that your love ones could enjoy.

If only I still have some room left in my tummy, I would love to try more as I've seen that menu was really packed with "Farm to Fork”, “Pasture to Plate” and “Crop to Cup” offerings that will surely delight me so much.

Thank you, Sisterfields! Congratulations to The Cravings Group for coming up with yet another restaurant-destination that offers not just the most delicious and affordable, but also healthy.

Happy eating, friends!
