Kanin Club at Ayala Triangle

After that wonderful dining experience that I had at Kanin Get it! at Nuvali, Laguna, it’s about time to have a taste of its sister store – the store that made its name so remarkable not just because of its appetizing name but rather its delectable dishes that every Pinoy will surely love – The Kanin Club.

We, Filipinos, being one of the world’s largest consumers of rice can’t say no to this place, that’s why when I heard that they’ve just open their store here in Ayala Triangle (just some few steps from my workplace), I immediately asked my officemates to dine in here and have a taste of this popular club.

Kanin Club just hit the perfect spot at Makati City, I believe. With all the foodistas and working people in one of the busiest district in the country, you’ll have to wait for your turn to have that perfect spot where you can enjoy their sumptuous offerings.

On my first-ever visit at Kanin Club, we ordered their famous Bagoong Rice.

Bagoong Rice – Php149.00

I’ve been hearing a lot of great stuff about this dish, so when I got a chance to check out their menu, I didn’t think twice, and have this rice for all of us. Thank God that we all liked it. The nice blend of the salted and fermented shrimp to the rice, plus the slices of green mango made this sumptuously memorable to us. Say, this is simply delicious! Kanin pa lang ulam na talaga!

On our next visit, which is SOON, we are planning to have their Aligue Rice too. Hehehe.

For the main dish, we had their Seafood Kare-Kare.

Seafood Kare-Kare – Php298.00

I was astounded by its price, really! And when it arrived on our table, I was even more delighted! This dish is actually good for 4 to 5 persons. The taste was fairly good. With all the wonderful taste of the prawns, mussels and squids, I’d say that if you come and visit this place, this dish is perfect for you and your friends – a must-have in short. Hehehe.

And since the vegetarian thingy is starting to grow on me, we also ordered Lumpiang Sariwa.

Lumpiang Sariwa – Php97.00

If there’s one dish, I think, that I will never get tired of eating from this joint, this must be it! The serving was superbly great, perfect for two persons. The garlic sauce was thick and really nice. The fresh spring roll was really mouth-watering. I just loved it!

And to gulp in all of these wonderful dishes, we ordered mango juice.

Mango Juice – Php67.00

I’m just not sure if this was a fresh mango juice because it tasted like the one from Cebu. Heheh. But I think it’s not that bad for its price, especially with its size.

Kanin Club’s place here in Ayala Triangle is a little small, juts like the other food stalls here, so you really don’t have a choice but to wait in line during lunch time and dinner time. But if you are really looking and craving for some good Filipino food, this spot here is the best that you can have here in Makati now.

Happy eating!
