Afternoon Indulgence at The Shrimp Shack

Shrimp lovers, here's a place where you can indulge and forget how expensive it is to try and enjoy shrimp dishes. No frills, no gimmick, just pure shrimp-y goodness that will sure fill you up while keeping you pocket safe and sound - The Shrimp Shack!

With stores at Market! Market!, Taguig, SM Mall of Asia and Robinson's Place Manila, Shrimp Shack is another concept from the team that brought us The Old Spaghetti House. Boasting with bright, summer-y and beach-like ambiance, Shrimp Shack is contrary to the conservative and rusty ambiance of The Old Spaghetti House.

On my first ever visit at their store in Market! Market!, Taguig, despite of the limited space, this new restaurant is oozing with goodness starting off with their appetizers that are just perfect for sharing. The Tomato-Cheese Fondue with Nachos spells comfort food for me. The inviting aroma and the balance sweet and salty flavor of the fondue makes this dish as good starter.

May it be a noddle or a sandwich, Shrimp Shack has prepared something to delight its shrimp-lover customers. So if you want something that really good and would give you that Cloud 9 feeling, I suggest that you try their Garlic Shrimp Scampi. Match it with Shrimp Po-Boy Sandwich, and I bet that you'll see Shrimp Heaven in no time.

I love how creamy their scampi is, and how the deep-fry shrimp filling added that exciting crunch to every bit. I would recommend that you better ask your server to serve your scampi hot, while the sandwich drenching in their homemade dressing.

For kids and some guys who still prefer beef over these delicious seafood, Shrimp Shack also prepared some delightful treats for those munchers. There's the U.S. Angus Cheese Burger, which I found a bit dry, and the U.S. Angus Burger Steak, Angus Pot Roast Beef Belly, Grilled Baby Back Ribs.

Each order is basically good enough for two, but if you are a big eater, then I guess this is just perfect for you. Out of the three plated dishes that I've tried, I enjoyed the Angus Pot Roast Beef Belly more. It's steak-like appeal is, I guess, what caught my attention. The gravy-like sauce is nice and complementing, while the mashed potato is just right to balance this meal.

And to make the gastronomic adventure here at Shrimp Shack truly exciting and worth-trying again, sumptuous dessert are made not just to delight our eyes but also our taste buds.

The Apple Crisp Ala Mode is a unique twist to our favorite Apple Pie. Toasted sweet flour covered the juicy apple tidbits below then topped with vanilla ice cream and finally drizzled with caramel - if you think looking is enough to give you an idea regarding its taste - you are very wrong! You should really try this one!
