Just when you thought you've been to almost all of the best all-day breakfast restaurants in the metro, here comes an establishment that offers more than it's earthly color. More inviting and more delectable as you could imagine, Greenfield District takes pride of Brown's Restaurant for its themed store that will give their guest a cozy, filling and enjoyable experience that they would love to do over and over again.
Brown's Restaurant is nestled at the very heart of what used to be an old jeepney terminal, The Portal. A place that offers a variety of food shops that you can enjoy and indulge on your visit here at Greenfield District all day. From breakfast, lunch and dinner, they made sure that we'll find the right spot for us to enjoy their lush greenery in the morning and amazing and lovely events at night.
The day I visited Brown's Restaurant, everything looks in place, but one of the owners who was there that time told us that they are still in a soft launch, so he informed us that our order may take some time, but he'll make sure that everything will be delicious and enjoyable.

Heavenly Brunch at Heaven & Eggs Glorietta
"All happiness depends on a leisurely breakfast."
– John Gunther
Serious question, when was the last time you had a fun, filling and relaxing breakfast time with your family or friends? In a city where everyone is so busy, it isn't really surprising to know that you cannot remember it anymore. That's why there are a lot of restaurants now that are offering all-day breakfast sets to let us still enjoy the food that give us smile in the morning.
And last weekend, together with some of my favorite blogger-friends, we re-experienced the heavenly goodness of Heaven & Eggs in Glorietta, Ayala Center, Makati along with some fun stories and friendly jokes.
I honestly cannot remember when was the last time I dine here in Heaven & Eggs but I'm pretty sure that it wasn't that bad. And now that it has a new owner, well, I'm just glad that it wasn't as intimidating as before. Plus, the fact that the dishes now are more diverse - meaning they are now offering Eastern and Western cuisines - I can't wait to go back and indulge on these heavenly goodness again.

The Best of Ilocos At Herencia Cafe
Pinakbet, Bagnet, Empanada, and a whole lot more! When we heard of Ilocos, these food are definitely in our minds, but did you know that in Herencia Cafe, one of the oldest in the region, is now offering something that's suits the palette of the new and old generation. And your Lafanggero is happy to share these amazing food finds that I enjoyed during my recent visit to the historic and photographic Ilocos Norte.
Herencia Cafe, which is said to be the birthplace of Pinakbet Pizza, is located at the very heart of the peaceful town of Paoay in Ilocos Norte. Directly fronting the photographic and historic UNESCO World Heritage Site, Paoay Church or the Church of Saint Augustine, Cafe Herencia offers the best of the region twisted in a contemporary way, which is definitely can be enjoyed even by the young generation.
And during our visit here with my friends, we were lucky enough to have a good weather and a readily available table. Usually, according the staff who assisted us with our orders, this place is packed during vacation season. With people from different parts of the world trying their version of the renowned Ilocano dishes, Cafe Herencia is considered a gem worth experiencing in this part of the country.

New Korean Food Experience at Woo Galbi
The East Wing of Shangri-La Plaza is definitely stealing every foodie attention lately, because with the addition of one great restaurant to another great restaurant, I mean, how could you not love the place, right? And now, adding more spice to their great selection, a Korean House is ready to share a modernize Korean cuisine that seriously filled my tummy and made me realize that there is really something about Korean food to love! Tara and let's lafang to Woo Galbi!
Located at the posh 6th Level of Shangri-la Plaza in EDSA, Woo Galbi Korean House is under the umbrella of iFoods Inc. that is also the group behind Stackers Burger Cafe, Parmigiano, Peri-Peri, Kogi Bulgogi and Miso Ten, which is also one of the latest babies of the company.
Woo Galbi Korean House's interior is way far too modernized to start with. The cozy feel and the the magnificent lighting is just perfect to pump up one's appetite. I personally love their wall decors and the lamps! The tables and chair look exquisite too, which can suit to simple night out with special someone or family weekend dining.

San Pablo, Laguna: Sulyap Gallery Cafe and Restaurant
The last but certainly not the least food destination that we had for the the Electrolux Discover-E Quezon/Laguna Province leg was another art gallery hiding under the name of Sulyap Gallery Cafe and Restaurant. A bed and breakfast style with rural ambiance, Sulyap Gallery Cafe and Restaurant is located at the well-kept Cocoland Compound at San Pablo, Laguna.
The compound is consists of three Spanish-era looking houses and one superior establishment that looks like a government office or school in the old days. Lush green is also to be found adding life and color on this once populated place.
It was like entering in a different world when we got there, if not only for the staff who wear their uniforms, I would really think that we were brought back to Spanish period because almost everything here looks so perfect and nice.
The largest establishment there, which is said to be Southern Luzon Colleges and Cocoland Hotel back then is now a museum that holds almost a thousand of fine antique pieces ranging from old religious replicas, home furniture, home decors, metallic utensils and even toys. The caretaker told us that before, the museum covers the whole two-floors of establishment, but when the owners finally decided to keep everyone safe, they all transferred these beautiful stuff on the ground floor. It is also for the ease of everyone who wanna see all of these stuff.

Fish-Love at Fishman!
I'm really a meat person, but when a delicious fish dish is served to me, I try it and as much as possible is I try to appreciate it. I believe that one of the hardest main ingredient to cook is fish, and if I like a fish dish from a restaurant, I considered that place a great spot to eat.
And a few weeks ago, as I join my friends to try this new place in Fort Bonifacio, Taguig City, Fishman, I was welcomed by a summery vibe that made me excited and ticklish, because just thinking how summer never fails to excite the beach person in me, oh, I'm so excited too to try Fishman's offerings!
If you are thinking that this place is some fancy restaurant, you are wrong! With a fast food appeal, which has a huge impact and appealing approach to Filipinos, Fishman opens its first doors in Bonifacio Global City just a few months ago. With nothing but fish, fish and fish - and some seafood too - on their menu, one can indulge to an amazing array of fish-cooking style and flavor that comes in a very affordable price! Fast food, I told you! :-)

Drinks here at Fishman comes into this small fishbowl type, which to some may look unusual, but for me, I find it really cute! They offer here bottomless sodas and iced teas, but if you wanna try some house specialty, I suggest that you have their Red Sea Iced Tea or the Blue Ocean Iced Tea. Beers are also offered here, I'm just not that sure if it has time availability. :-)

Dragon Chef Trinoma - Now Open!
Nowadays, people are not just going to a place where there's delicious food, the ambiance and the interior are now playing major roles in choosing where to eat and where to stay. That's why here in the newly opened Chinese food haven in Trinoma, the Dragon Chef, they didn't just made a hearty dining place, they also made it hip for every foodie to enjoy!
Located at the fourth level - garden area of this hippest mall in Quezon City, Dragon Chef opened its doors just two weeks ago to give a more colorful twist in every Pinoy's Chinese cravings. From the makers of Robotosan, Sumo Sam, John & Yoko, Mr. Kurosawa, Marciano’s and more, Dragon Chef promises to make your stay in their place as unique as possible but still with that classic home, Pinoy style.
On my first visit here, the splash of vibrant colors welcomed me as well as the wonderful aroma of their dishes came crawling up to my nostrils. I guess the hippy look of this place was specifically made to boost our appetite, because even though I wasn't that hungry that night, I managed to eat a lot and enjoyed most of their offerings.

Barefooting at Puerto Princesa's KaLui
They say you'll never know a place til you get a taste of their dishes that represent not only their region but also the culture that molds them. Thankfully, Palawan, specifically Puerto Princesa, has more than just beautiful sceneries and accommodating people, it also has wonderful and accommodating food spots that made the the whole city really loved.
And with that, let me give you a taste of Puerto Princesa's KaLui.
Located along Rizal Avenue, one of the most popular avenues in the city when it comes to great food finds, KaLui offers a native yet artsy dining experience that you could enjoy when visiting this part of the country. With its very typical exterior to its well-designed interior, one can get at-ease and at home on this very stunning place.
But before I start sharing to you our food escapade here, make sure that your feet don't smell and clean because here in KaLui, in order for you to come in and dine, you have to leave your shoes or slippers outside.

Oh-Em-Gee at Baguio City!
OMG as in Oh My Gulay! If it's your first time here in the City of Pines, well, here's a nice artistic establishment ready to fill you up to world-class healthy food that I'm sure they'll make you say OMG! As in Oh, my God! Tempting? Visit Oh, My Gulay now!
One of the fondest moments that we got to enjoy while staying in Baguio City for the Eurotel's Baguio Bliss 2012 was to dine in this kinda weird looking place called Oh My Gulay. Located at the La Azotea Building at Session Road, Oh My Gulay is an artistic cafe that gives your the best of both worlds about the people of Baguio and the food that they love to eat, vegetables!
With this very unique artistic flare that will turn your heads every now and then, Oh, My Gulay also brings their artistic craft into their food. For example, the food that I ordered, which is their Oh My Gulay Rice is just actually a rice-in-a-box kind of meal. But when they served it to me, I was amazed by how Greek it looked like. It actually reminded of me an episode of America's Next Top Model where the models posed on a life-size Greek Salad.

A Friday Night-out at Krave - Makati
A few days ago, I was invited by a friend to dine with them and somehow do a little review about this resto here in Legaspi Village, Makati. Little do I know about the resto and the chef behind it, I still said yes, because she said that this place named KRAVE offers a cozy atmosphere and mouthwatering steak that I will surely love.
KRAVE is located at the ground floor of F & M Lopez Building in C. Palanca St., Legaspi Village, Makati City. A stone-throw away from the very busy Ayala Avenue, one can get easily at ease with its classy and really cozy atmosphere.
At day time, I'd say that this place is a good spot to do some business over lunch meetings, while at night, and especially during weekends, this is a great place to hangout with, may you'll be with your colleagues or your friends.
Though this place can only sit 30 to 40 persons, the interior is just perfect to give everyone a classy touch of restaurant, bar and lounge in one. I haven't been to this kind of place for a long time, so it as kind of a treat to me too.

Boracay: Smoke
I know that a lot of you who have never been to the adventure-filled island of Boracay would think that everything is expensive here. I’m telling you, YOU ARE WRONG. Because during my last night on the island, in my quest to find a more affordable dining place, I found Smoke!
Smoke is a local restaurant which you can find at the far corner of D Mall, Station 2, Boracay. With is bloody red color, this place is popular for its affordable, home-styled meals too.
From itlog na pula, tuyo, to sinigang, down to grilled seafood, you can find it here and readily available upon ordering.
Open til late night, Smoke was the answer to my hungry tummy during my last night here in Boracay. And though the place is packed during lunch and dinner time, probably because of its affordability, that night Smoke was all mine and some few other customers. Hehe.
The place is really small, if you’d asked me, only about 30 to 40 people can seat in here. The acoustic was pretty bad during lunch and dinner. With every guest almost shoulder to shoulder when dining in, talking to one another would be a problem. But that night, when I visited the place, again, it was almost all mine, so I really had a great time dining there.

A Hearty Dinner at O'sonho Jupiter
Pronounced as o-sonyo, this Portuguese restaurant located at Jupiter Street in Makati City will not just give you an astonishing gastronomic Portuguese adventure but also a hearty, Filipino-style warmth of welcoming that you and your busy buddies can enjoy after a day of hard work.
This is my second time to dine at O'sonho, but my first time to try it here in Jupiter Street, Makati.
I had a chance to try their dishes first in their Eastwood Mall branch, and I'd say that even though the place was kinda a little off for me because it is facing the other way around, I got to enjoy their food so much that made me appreciate Portuguese cuisine.
On this hearty dinner that I had in their first branch, I was welcomed by one of the owners, Cris Barancik, who made my Portuguese gastronomic adventure comeback more heart-warming and fun.

El Kabayo at Clark, Pampangga
Part of the itinerary we had for our trip to the 16th Philippine International Hot Air Balloon Festival, which took place last February 10 to 13 at Clark, Pampangga, was to visit this Western-themed restaurant that my friend May Ann was bragging about to us for about for almost a year now - the El Kabayo.
Specifically located at Gil Puyat Avenue corner Panday Pira, Clark Freeport Zone, this is where we had our Western lunch before we hit the venue and see those flying light bulbs.

Ginzadon: A Fusion of Japanese-Korean Cuisine
Looking for nice place to hangout after some casino game or just to relax after a hard day at work? Maxims Hotel , the first and only six-star hotel in the country which will be fully functional by November, just opens a new door of gastronomic escapade that caters to the harmonious Japanese cuisine and to the flaring spicy Korean cuisine - Ginzadon.
I got a wonderful invitation to dine at this newly opened resto/bistro, and I’m so delighted to hear that they are indeed serving great Japanese and Korean dishes. Ginzadon's name is taken from "Ginza", an upscale district in Tokyo, Japan, while "don" is a Korean term for money.
I love Japanese food. I’m a big fan of this cuisine, so I’m really looking forward to this dinner. And because of the K-Pop invasion in the music scene and in our country, I’m starting to kinda love Korean cuisine – even their spicy Kim Chi!
